Kit includes:
1 x detailed instructions with colour photos

1 x PVC sticky lampshade backing, white semi-transparent with fire retardant, cut to size
1 x double sided tape (full 50m roll)
1 x 125ml glue (OMITTED IN THIS INTERNATIONAL POSTAGE OPTION)

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING NOTE: to reduce the postage cost of this particular kit the 125ml glue will be omitted (included is a note of suitable glues you can use).
Double sided tape and Roll edge tool are optional when ordering. It is recommended that if this is your first time buying one of my kits, then please add these items in. When you order another kit in the future (or add subsequent orders to the cart) you may choose to leave these items out. The double sided tape is a full roll of 50 metres, so there is plenty for many of your lampshade projects, the same applies with the roll edged tool.
PLEASE NOTE: do not use just any double sided tape or glue. The products in my lampshade kits are of good quality and chosen for their specifications. The PVC sticky backing product (UK manufactured) specific for lampshade making, is fire retardant and suitable to bond many fabrics. Fabrics with a natural fibre composition and blends work best (eg. cotton, cotton/polyester, linen, linen/polyester, linen/viscose etc.) but is not limited to.
A note specific to Taetia Embroidery: if you would rather not have your embroidery panel bonded directly to the lampshade sticky backing. Firstly use the kit to make a Bonded lampshade using homespun, then hand stitch the embroidery panel to the lampshade as directed in Taetia Embroidery instructions. This step is also worthwhile for overcoming any issues of puckering around the stitched elements.
Light Fitting Adapter sizes: you can use this kit to make a lampshade for a table lamp or as a ceiling pendant, simply place the white fitted ring at the bottom of the lampshade (for a table lamp) or at the top of the lampshade (for ceiling pendant). Please note the following re light fitting sizes which varies between countries:
- Australia/New Zealand/UK/EU: will fit either the E14, E27 or B22 light fittings
- US: you will need an E26 (36mm) shade adapter which you can purchase online or through your lighting store.
